Environmental Activism On Screen

Every Saturday from 9:00 pm to 6:00 a.m beginning in May, Community Television will cablecast three hours of programming from the EarthVision International Environmental Film Festival. The three-hour time block, which will be repeated three times over 9 hours, is rich with images that encourage environmental awareness.  These Earth Vision films, documentaries and shorts can be seen on Comcast Cable Channel 25 and Charter Cable Channel 71.

Sustainable Santa Cruz Premieres on Community Television

Community Television is pleased to announce the premiere of Sustainable Santa Cruz:  Discovering Common Ground, a television series produced in collaboration with the Community Coalition for a Sustainable Economy.

The series is intended to inform and inspire community members to get involved in taking the next steps necessary toward making our community more affordable, maintaining its diversity and increasing its environmental sustainability.

Community TV Premieres "What's Happening In Education" Show

COMMUNITY TELEVISION OF SANTA CRUZ COUNTY IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE PREMIERE OF A NEW PROGRAM CALLED “WHAT’S HAPPENING IN EDUCATION”. THIS NEW SERIES WILL EXPLORE EDUCATION ISSUES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY WITH A FOCUS ON K-12 EDUCATION IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS. THE SHOW IS PRODUCED AND HOSTED BY COMMUNITY TV BOARD CHAIRMAN JON SILVER. THE PROGRAM WILL HIGHLIGHT MANY OF THE POSITIVE THINGS HAPPENING IN OUR LOCAL SCHOOLS AS WELL AS EXAMINING THE CHALLENGES.

Preps Program Gets off the Ground

In an interview with CTSCC intern Claire Walla, producer Ian McFadden explains what it takes to make a good sports show.  From filming all of the action courtside, poolside or on the field, to sitting infront of a computer screen in the CTSCC editing room, McFadden has managed to get his dream up and running, and on TV.
