Membership

Becoming a member of Community Television of Santa Cruz County brings you into a network of volunteers and experienced staff members dedicated to fostering free speech through television and other electronic media.

Above all else, being a member of CTSCC means supporting the ideals that community access television stands for here in Santa Cruz County. It allows residents to become an active part of the local community, and to see the world from a local perspective.

Membership at any level gives you the opportunity to participate in the governance of the station (i.e. eligibility to vote for Directors of the Board, to run for a position on the Board, and to vote on issues raised by the Board and brought to the CTSCC collective). You need to attend a one hour Orientation to become a member. We do invite you to participate in a range of production classes offered at the station, after which you will gain access to our facilities and equipment—including cameras, editing systems and studio space.

Once you've become trained, we encourage you to join the crew of any number of independent productions taped by members here in the CTSCC studio, or out in the field. With enough experience, you can even start work on your own original production using CTSCC’s equipment!

All members will also receive Community Television’s newsletters and annual report.
