Voices From The Village

Produced by Charlie Phillips, bringing world, national, state and local issues into the community with interviews and discussions with local personalities and experts from various fields.

Hosted by activist Louis LaFortune, with various regular, surprise guest hosts, all capable of bringing out the issues and getting into the core of various pros and cons of the diverse subjects covered.

We regularly feature people on the street giving their views on our topics as well as phone calls from all over the world, when the broadcasts are live. It is watched by people the world over via the internet thanks to Santa Cruz Community Television's "Live Streaming" at www.communitytv.org. Our local panel of professionals in related fields includes Vicki Assegued, MA, Restorative Justice Programs Director-Santa Cruz Conflict Resolution Center,  Christine King, a Certified Trainer in Non-violent Communication and Esther Centers, a teacher at Santa Cruz Waldorf School.

A short video introduced the subject.
