Community TV Launches Non-Profit Mini-Documentary Program

In a effort to provide the community with enhanced local television programming that provides an inside view of the many community organizations doing amazing and vital work in Santa Cruz County, Community Television has initiated a non-profit organization mini-documentary program to produce short documentary videos about the work of local non-profits.

For an affordable sliding scale fee, Community Television will produce a 5-10 minute video program about your non-profit community organization. The finished video will be featured with multiple airings on Community Television’s Education Channel. We will also provide a DVD of the program for your organization’s outreach, fundraising and education efforts.

How it works:

  • Sign your organization up by calling 831-425-8848.
  • A Community Television producer will meet with representative(s) from your group to plan the production.
  • Community TV will do a 3-4 hour field video shoot to highlight your organization, capturing scenes of your work in action and interviews from staff, clients or participants.
  • Community TV will edit the video into a 5-10 minute program, allow an opportunity for your review and feedback, then complete the video and create a DVD.
  • Community TV will schedule multiple airtimes enabling your organization to publicize the showings.

In order to make the video as effective as possible it is important that on for the day of filming your organization is prepared to:

  • Show off key activities that represent the highlights of your organization’s work.
  • Provide a couple of people for us to interview who can explain and/or give a testimonial about your organization’s work and its impact.

All non-profits who participate in this program will have their organization recognized in our Annual Report.
