Classes
To take classes at Community Television, you must be a resident of Santa Cruz County and you must be a member. To become a member, first sign up for one of our free orientations, which are offered at least once a month. Call 831-425-8848 to sign up for an orientation.

| Basic Field Camera | Learn how to operate the Canon GL2 Digital Cameras, use a tripod properly and how to get a good audio feed. | 20 | 3 hours | |
| Basic Field Camera REFRESHER | If you are already field camera certified, but would like get a refresher this is your opportunity. If you have questions and want to learn more about the operations of our cameras, sign up for this FREE workshop now. | You must be a current member and field camera certified. | FREE | 2 hours |
| BLUE SCREEN | Hands on training how to use the Tricaster Live set. | 20 | 2 hours | |

| Field Lighting | Learn how to handle the field lighting equipment safety, theory and how to use the instruments and accessories on a field shoot. | NONE | $20 | 2 hours |
| Final Cut Pro Basics | Final Cut Pro Classes 1 & 2 will go deeper into the workings of the program. You will learn more about transitions, and effects as well as preparing your video for burning to DVD. | MUST have Final Cut Pro INTRO or a proficiency in OSX. | $40 | 6 hours |
| Final Cut Pro COMBO | This is a combination of both Final Cut classes, compacted into one class. You MUST take Final Cut INTRO ($20) or make an appointment for a Proficiency test ($10 fee) before you sign up for this class. | Interviewing Techniques | Learn how to refine your interviewing style, learn single-camera techniques and how to organize your questions. This is offered during the Weekend Workshops which is generally scheduled quarterly. | NONE | $10.00 members 20.00 non-members | 2 hours |
| NEW! Final Cut Pro INTRO | Learn the minimum basics to get started in Final Cut Pro Training. You will learn how to capture and store your video, trim clips, import to the timeline, and add titles. This is class is required if you want to take Final Cut Pro Basics 1 & 2. | OSX Experience is preferred. Tutorial DVDs are available to get started. | $20 | 2 hours |

| Orientation | At our Orientation we will give you an overview of everything Community Television offers. Orientation is no longer REQUIRED to become a member. If you intend to use equipment to produce, you will be required to take the orientation and classes to be certified. You MUST be a resident of Santa Cruz County. | Producer's Networking | There will be a screening of one or more programs, and an opportunity to meet other producers and crew. Light refreshments will be served. | FREE | 2 hours | |
| Studio Audio | Learn the basics you need to know to work as an audio technician on a studio show. Includes microphone set-up and sound board operation. | NONE | $15 | 2 hours |
| Studio Camera | Learn how to operate studio cameras. This class is also required if you want to take the Studio Tricaster Director class. | $15 | 2 hours | |
| Studio CG-Tricaster-LiveText | The class will focus on basic operation of the Studio LiveText graphics workstation and LiveText titling software and how to create/save/load Text titler playlists on the TriCaster Broadcast. Includes practice time. | NONE | $25 | 3 hours |
| Studio Director-Tricaster | Studio Director-Tricaster (You must be certified in Studio Camera) This class is offered FREE to any current member who has taken the Studio Director class in the past. | MUST be certified in Studio Camera first. | $25 | 3 hours |
| Studio Lighting | Learn lighting for Studio shows, safety, theory, and how to use the instruments, ladder and accessories. | YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO TAKE THIS CLASS. | $20 | 3 hours |
